We have HDID agent installed in RHEL 7 server. We cannot disable the firewall because it is a production server. How can we allow the HDID agent through RHEL 7 firewall?
Have you tried editing iptables on Linux server firewall? You need to enable port 30304 for basic HDID operations on firewall, for both in and out way network traffic (other ports can be found in HDID User Guide if needed). Commands down below might help, but I strictly suggest you should ask for advise from OS admin before trying out these commands!
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --sport 30304 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A OUTPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 30304 -j ACCEPT
Yes, it worked! I made it allowed the port 30304 in RHEL 7 firewall. Appreciate your inputs. It's great that has a forum like this. It's been helpful to us. Hope you could help more. Thanks again!
I am happy it worked. You are right, community is a good place for information sharing. Good luck with your HDID environment.
