I have this warning displayed in the HCP overview screen. Any thoughts on what it means or where I could look to establish further details please?
You need to check your DNS setup. Specifically, make sure that you AD server host has the reverse lookup entry (PTR resource record).
Thanks for the reply Michael.
I had the DNS stub zones (and reverse lookup zones) put in up front, however there was a mutli-homed Domain Controller with a secondary IP allowed to register with DNS. This has subsequently been removed.
Even though, the HCP seems to want to keep hold of this record. Any ideas how I can get the HCP to release this?
Have you tried clearing the cache – it’s right there on the AD configuration page.
Yes, cleared the cache but to no avail
I had the same issue here and got valuable help from a peer within HDS.
You need to check all GCS, KDC and LDAP servers. Doing so just partially is not sufficient.
Here is what you need to check using the tools provided within HCP when logging in via ssh as a service user.
Hope this helps.
