Microsoft Cluster validation fails with persistent reservation error.

We have a 3 node Windows 2008 R2 cluster on UCS blades.

There are 54 cluster disks attached with SQL instance data on them.

The cluster validation keeps failing which prevents any new SQL instances from being installed.

Microsoft support has been suggesting to clear the persistent reservation table since that is where the error is pointing.

I know where to do this and can see all of the reservations, however I have no idea the impact of doing this on a live system.

What would be the result of clearing the reservations on active cluster LUNs? Does anyone have experience with the persistent reservation error in cluster validation?

If there is a work around that would be great.
