I’ve Been Hacked!

Blog Post created by Hu Yoshida Employee on Jul 16, 2015

Yesterday, you may have seen a strange post from me on the HDS blog site. I want to assure you that the post was not mine. Someone had obtained my ID and password and posted it without my knowledge. It was brought to my attention by one of my readers. I had the post deleted, changed my password, and am having our web team investigate to see how this happened. My ID and password is unique to this blog account so hopefully this hack was iimited to my blog. However, I am changing all my other passwords.

Since nothing ever gets deleted on the internet, you may see an odd post entitled “How to Write an Observation Dissertation – Statement Document Ideas with Private Example Composition” floating around that is attributed to me. Please ignore it and be assured that I would never publish such nonsense.

This is one of those events that you would never think would happen to you.

Lessons learned: Change your password regularly and make it unique for each account.
